What's New?

More Staff Changes. As a result of unexpected but altogether pleasant circumstances, Paula Closson Buck will be on leave for the spring '07 semester rather than the fall '06 semester, as indicated in an earlier news item. Ron Mohring will serve as Interim Editor in spring '07 rather than fall '06. Closson Buck will resume editorship in fall '07.

Nordhaus Wins Pushcart. Congratulations to Jean Nordhaus, whose poem "The Innocent" (West Branch 56, Spring/Summer 2005) has been selected for a prestigious Pushcart Prize. The poem will appear in The Pushcart Prize XXXI: Best of the Small Presses, 2007 Edition.

Reading Period Open. The 2006-07 reading period is now open. We encourage you to read our guidelines before submitting your work. The reading period will close on April 15, 2007.

Stadler Center / West Branch Literary Prizes 2005-06. Click here to read the winning entries in our annual writing contest for Bucknell undergraduates.

Fall Interns. The staff of West Branch extends a warm welcome to Diana Koretsky and Katie Heverling, who will serve as editorial interns for the fall '06 semester.
