Academics at Bucknell

Bucknell fosters the intellectual, academic, social, cultural, and moral development of its students in a holistic educational experience. Colleges & Departments Bucknell students have their choice of 54 majors and 64 minors, including such wide-ranging fields as animal behavior, Caribbean studies, and anthropology. Undergraduate Research Bucknell is recognized for its strong undergraduate research program. Scholarly Achievements Celebrating the scholarly achivements of Bucknell's faculty: publications, presentations and professional meetings, works in progress, and grants & awards.

• Bucknell students present research at national conferences
  Several Bucknell University students presented research at national physics conferences during the 2004-05 academic year.
• Bucknell Habitat for Humanity works in Hawaii, North Carolina
  Twenty-eight students from Bucknell University participated in the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge by volunteering on housing construction projects in Hawaii and North Carolina during spring break.
• Alternative Spring Break Trip: A Civil Rights Journey
  A group of 18 students and staff members from Bucknell University participated in “Civil Rights: The Unfinished Journey,” as an alternative to the usual spring break vacation activities.
• Bucknell Team Places 10th in Putnam Math Competition
  A team of Bucknell students finished 10th out of 411 schools in this year’s William Lowell Putnam Mathematics competition.
